Multiple Vehicle Crash Causes Portion of I-76 to Close

    A portion of Interstate 76 involving both directions was closed for a period of time on Tuesday, December 4, 2019, after a multiple-vehicle crash occurred.

    Serious Injuries

    From a report on the accident by CBS 4 Denver, at least one person passed away as a result of the accident and at least one person was being treated for injuries. The accident resulted in a closure that spanned from the US 85 and E-470 exits as noted by the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT).

    Multiple Vehicles

    Brighton Police who responded to the crash said that multiple vehicles were involved, and an investigation is underway at this time to determine exactly what caused the crash.
