Pedestrian Hit by Vehicle on 6th Avenue

A pedestrian has passed away after being struck by a vehicle on 6th Avenue this morning September 23, 2019.

6th Avenue – Walking on Median

Police received alerts this morning around 6 a.m. regarding a woman walking on the median of 6th Avenue headed eastbound towards Sheridan Boulevard according to a 9News article.

Not too long after, reports came in involving an accident between a pedestrian and a vehicle. While police have yet to link the two instances together, they have a strong belief that the two are related.

Alternate Routes

All lanes heading eastbound on 6th Ave near Wadsworth Boulevard were closed for a while as police conducted an investigation. One lane is now open, however police are urging drivers to use alternate routes as they continue to investigate the accident.
